McCreary County
Government

McCreary County was the 120th county formed in Kentucky in March 1912. McCreary County is also the only county in Kentucky with no incorporated city, meaning county government is the only form of local government.

McCreary County is governed by a Fiscal Court consisting of the Judge Executive and four(4) Magistrates elected to serve individual districts of the county. The Fiscal Court meets regularly the second Monday of each month at 4:30pm, although special sessions may also be called.
