Hunter Education Hosts Free Courses
Persons born on or
after January 1, 1975 are required to carry a valid
hunter education course completion card while hunting.
Children under age 12 and those exempt from purchasing a
hunting license are not required to possess the hunter
education card. All children under age 12 or anyone with
an exemption permit must be accompanied by an adult age
18 or older while hunting.

Hunter Education Camp Arnold Campout
The annual Camp
Arnold campout sponsored by McCreary County Hunter
Education is held the weekend following Labor Day each
year and is for youth under age 16 who
have completed the hunter education course. Camp Arnold
is located just north of Whitley City, KY.
